Friedrich Schiedel Prize for Politics and Technology
The Friedrich Schiedel Foundation, founded in 1986 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Friedrich Schiedel, supports social projects as well as research and science.
The Friedrich Schiedel Prize for Politics and Technology, endowed with 30,000 euros, will be awarded for the first time in 2018. Until 2023, it will be awarded annually to personalities who research and teach at the interface between politics and technology. The award includes several weeks of research stays at the TUM School of Governance, public lectures and workshops by the awardes scientists, and a mentorship for young researchers.
This year's Friedrich Schiedel Prize goes to Prof. Helen Margetts, Professor at Oxford University and Director of the Public Policy Program at the Alan Turing Institute in London. Further information on the award and the prize-giving ceremony can be found here.
